Seven Up

A week after a 7-0 loss and one night after a 7-4 defeat, it was theWaterloo Black Hawks putting a big number on the scoreboard Saturday,blanking the Lincoln Stars 7-0 at Young Arena.

The Black Hawks didn’t waste any time, with J.T. Brown scoring the opening goal just 17 seconds into the game. Before the eight minute mark, Tyler Barnes had added two goals on the power play, and Patrick Divjak got a puck over the goal line.

In the second, Brown capped a beautiful series of passed for a power playgoal at 9:50. Jimmy Siers and Brock Montpetit found the net in the third.

Not to be lost amongst all the offense, Steve Racine made a strong impression during his first appearance at Young Arena, turning away all 28 shots from his former team.

The Black Hawks are also at home for their next game Friday against the Tri City Storm, beginning at 7:05.
