Detroit, MI- The Inferno have had a rough start to the 09-10 campaign as they are 0-8 to start the year, But the Inferno have made great strides as of late to get back to basics and work on the little things that are going to help the team turn things around.
Last weekend at their home opener against the Illinois Frontenacs was the first step. While loosing both games, the team played better overall except for some crucial letdowns that cost them the games.
The Inferno head into this weekend looking to avenge 3 losses in the Detroit area 2 weeks ago. The Inferno will play 2 games Vs. the Michigan Ice Dogs who beat the Inferno 15-3 in their only meeting of the season 2 weeks ago and 1 game against the Motor City Chiefs who defeated the Inferno 7-4 and 6-3 in their previous 2 meetings.
The Inferno have recently added 6’2” 240lb Burke Dupuis to the defensive line up and he has
paid immediate dividends, Dupuis has helped to bring a little stability to the Inferno’s defensive core that has had troubles to start the season.
The Inferno look to improve on their recent steps forward and prove that they are gaining momentum and will be a force to be reckoned with as the GLJHL season progresses.
